From a wonderful article about Hans Moening, a renowned repairer of woodwinds for musicians around the world.  He worked in Philadelphia from 1926 until at least his semi-retirement in 1983.  His cousin founded a family of Philadelphia violin-makers.

We went to the Wharton Esherick Museum on Saturday.  Sadly there are few good photos of his work available, because I am in love.
